The Tea Cosy

The tea cosy is said to have been made popular by the Duchess of Bedford who established the activity of afternoon tea in 1840. Tea cosies act as insulators, keeping the contents of your teapot warm while, at the same time, providing cheerful cuteness. They are traditionally made of cloth, although many are hand knitted or crocheted.
